GRI's Material Handling Business Thrives in Mexico with Strong Partnership

Since 2012, GRI and AM-GAMO, a prominent distributor of Material Handling (MH) tires in Mexico, have collaborated closely. Mr. Gilberto Gaza, the Managing Director of AM-GAMO, offers insights into the tire industry and the evolving demands of MH customers in Mexico.
“We started our journey with GRI by offering solid tires and have built a strong customer base explained Mr. Gilberto Gaza. In terms of solid tires, AM-GAMO offers three GRI brands which are ULTIMATE XT, PEAKMASTER and GLOBESTART WT. We recently introduced the first sustainable MH tire, ULTIMATE GREEN XT which was made with 93.5% sustainable materials. With the customers' requirements evolving, the focus has been on the tire cost per hour. As such, "we sell higher volumes of ULTIMATE XT and a good percentage of the other two brands" said Mr. Gilberto.
AM-GAMO has adopted a multi-faceted approach, providing end-users with a complete service package encompassing tire sales, delivery, and installation. In addition, AM-GAMO extends its outreach by collaborating with a network of sub-distributor partners, enabling them to cover a large expanse of the Mexican territory effectively. Furthermore, AM-GAMO places a strong emphasis on customer education about GRI and its high-quality MH tire range through informative sessions and performance tests to showcase tire operation levels across diverse applications.
“GRI is an important partner to us. We have clear and open communication. The product range is well put together, and we can use the different brands to satisfy the different needs of our industry. We can offer the customer a tire solution that fits their application with great performance at a competitive price. This is the most important point for us,” said Mr. Gilberto Gaza in conclusion.
