  • CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER –SINGAPORE - Finance Singapore

    GRI is a leading specialty tire producer in Sri Lanka. We have been supplying tires to more than 50 countries worldwide since 2002. GRI has sales offices in the United States, Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, the Baltics and Australia. We produce high-performance tires for Agriculture, Material Handling and Construction vehicles.

     

    We are seeking an extremely driven individual, with high energy, deep passion, and perseverance to win, as Chief FinancialOfficer in Singapore.

     

    The prospective person should possess a strong accounting, finance, and treasury background with rounded exposure in managing multiple business lines, strong governance controls and providing effective day-to-day oversight of the Group’s operations, investments, treasury management and financial performance.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:


    • To ensure the accuracy and completeness of the company’s financial statements and full compliance with all laws and regulations in all jurisdictions in which business is done
    • To ensure a strong and complete budgeting process is followed and timely approval of the company budget from the board.
    • Ensure that proper financial governance is followed and strong controls in place to mitigate any revenue/cost leakages in the organization
    • To provide effective day-to-day oversight of the Group’s operations controls and financial performance.
    • Building strong relationships with local financial institutions and having the ability to raise any funding that is required for the group.
    • Treasuryrole is a critical role, management of the treasury function, inclusive of raising funding, managing cross currencies etc
    • Responsible for providing strong functional leadership to the Company’s Finance, Tax, and Treasury, ensuring that operational policies and practices are developed and monitored
    • Is responsible for ensuring the Group operates sound risk management and internal control systems to safeguard stakeholders’ interests, the Group’s assets and to ensure the integrity of the Group’s financial performance and statements.
    • Playa lead role in managing all the subsidiaries globally, ensuring sound governance and prompt reporting of all legal entities within the group
    • Oversees the long-range vision, strategy plans, and goals for the business communicates strategies, and risks and inspires others in the Company to contribute to the future vision and growth of the company.
    • Combine operational and strategic roles, manage accounting and financial control functions, and establish a financial strategy for the profitable long-term growth of the business.
    • I expected to maintain good working relationships with other senior executives within the Group, especially within the divisions, and to provide constructive challenges to them in light of his responsibilities.
    • To exercise independent judgment, reasonable care, skill and diligence when carrying out their duties.

     

    EssentialQualification / Exposure


    Has to be a charted accountant, ACCA

    Financial accounting background and strong controls/ governance background

    Ability to negotiate with finance providers – local and international

    Good exposure to ERP systems and managing global businesses

    Strongtreasury experience

    10 years experience in the same role.

    Demonstrated leadership skills and hands-on person

    A positive, highly motivated individual who exhibits leadership and a strong, flexible work ethic.

    Good team player with interpersonal skills, determination, work ethic, and a best-in-class attitude

  • HEAD OF HUMAN RESOURCES - HR Colombo 4

    Produces high-grade specialty tires that are built sustainably using pure natural rubber in Sri Lanka. Founded in 2002, the company produces material-handling solid tires, radial agriculture tires, and construction tires. GRI has offices and operations in nine countries including the United States, Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, the Baltics and Australia, with a business presence in more than 50 countries worldwide.

    Since2018, GRI has been advancing in the rapid expansion of its specialty tire production plants and tire compound mixing facilities in Sri Lanka as well as its operations in key countries.     Duties and Responsibilities:


    • Lead the human resource function, develop, and implement human resource management strategies and policies in line with the business strategies, within the legal framework and EHS policies akin to industry norms
    • Drive Organizational development to suit changing business needs and initiate/facilitate appropriate change management programs to establish accountable and high-performance norms in the organization
    • Be the main internal HR consultant to the board and the other managers
    • Enable company values are cascaded and embedded in the organization
    • Drive the company’s performance management and reward system incl. KPI development to accelerate organizational performance and, individual performance and development
    • Be the catalyst to develop internationally competitive and motivated people
    • Develop and implement recruitment, development and retention strategies and manage succession plans to ensure the availability of the right people for the current and future needs of the group
    • Implement appropriate employee engagement, communication, welfare, and mentoring programs
    • Manage the employee/industrial relations programs and dispute resolution and disciplinary procedure  


    EssentialQualifications / Exposure:


    • Minimum 10 years of experience in leading a human resources function preferably with experience in a fast-paced manufacturing organization
    • Bachelors’ Degree preferably in Human ResourceManagement/ Organisational Leadership or Social/Natural Sciences with experience
    • Demonstrable knowledge of core HR functions, Industrial laws and HR systems and industrial relation environment of the
    • Previous experience in enterprise-level change management, organizational development, employee development and communication will be advantageous
    • A passionate self-starter with well-developed conceptual, communication and collaborative skills required to operate at the senior level

  • SENIOR EXECUTIVE - ERP - Finance Colombo 4

    We are looking for an experienced individual to fill the following vacancy immediately at our Head Office located in Colombo04.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:


    ·        Report all system-related issues/bugs to the service Provider in a timely manner and follow up until resolution.

    ·        Customizing and developing forms and reports

    ·        Experience in SQL/PLSQL, EBS R12 APIs /Interfaces, XML Publisher, Forms, Reports, and Workflows

    ·        Understand users’ requirements from a business perspective, identify potential solutions, document the agreed requirements,and follow up on the existing issue on the ERP application.

    ·        Perform trouble-shooting and ongoing ERP application support.

    ·        Carry out system testing and configuration in the implementation cycles.

    ·        Implement custom configurations fields, menus, and events

    ·        Develop, update, and maintain reports utilizing any Report Developer or Crystal report

    ·        ERP Administration such as Users, Security, Profile, Custom Objects, and Events

    ·        Work closely with Local and Regional ITvendors on cross-border support and projects.

    ·        Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

    ·        IT support to internal users.

     

    The ideal candidate will possess the following key drivers:


    ·        A Bachelor of Degree or equivalent qualifications.

    ·        IFS custom configurations and report development would be an advantage

    ·        Business domain knowledge (manufacturing)would be an advantage.

    ·        Should have a minimum of three years of experience for ERP support (IFS would be an advantage)

    ·        Knowledge of Databases such as MS SQL/Oracle.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    ·        Researching, designing, implementing, and managing software programs

    ·        Testing and evaluating new programs

    ·        Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications

    ·        Writing and implementing efficient code

    ·        Determining operational practicality

    ·        Deploying software tools and process

    ·        Modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces.

    ·        Directing system testing and validation procedures.

    ·        Directing software programming and documentation development.

     

    Skill required:

    ·        Frameworks: PHP Laravel MVC Frameworks; Vue.js

    ·        Database: Oracle Pl/SQL, SQL Server, MySQL,PostgreSQL, NoSQL Firebase, MongoDB

    Experience:

    Duties and Responsibilities:



    • To be able to follow world commodities markets to formulate strategies in order to maximize price advantages
    • Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
    • Sourcingand engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
    • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
    • Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
    • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
    • Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
    • Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
    • Performing risk assessment on macroeconomic indicators and ensuring a continuous flow of materials for production
    • Manage local and international logistics in order to get the best prices and follow JIT model
    • Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
    • Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
    • Preparingprocurement reports.

     

    The ideal candidate will possess the following key drivers:


    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
    • 10-15Years of Management experience and over 5 Years of senior managerial experience
    • Proven experience in managing supply chain operations.
    • Experience in using supply chain management software and tools,
    • In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
    • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams in challenging business environments.
    • Previous tire industry experience would be an added advantage.
